Gary Neville promotes Malta23 January 2002 
Gary Neville Malta's tourism ambassador in the UK, footballer Gary Neville, was a definite crowd-puller on the Malta Tourism Authority's stand at the Manchester Holiday Show earlier this month, where he signed T-shirts and photographs for visitors to the show. The MTA, together with Air Malta and Holiday Malta, signed up Gary Neville last year to help promote Malta. In the beginning of February, Mr Neville will star in a special programme on Malta as part of the television series "Wish You Were Here", one of the UK's most popular travel series. A UK poster campaign featuring Mr Neville is also scheduled to kick off very soon. In summer, he is to host his second football school in Malta for children aged between eight and 15. The Gary Neville Soccer School is being promoted in the UK by Air Malta subsidiary Belleair Holidays. Bookings so far are very encouraging. The Manchester Holiday Show starts the season of travel fairs in the UK and Ireland.
