Farsons to celebrate Kinnie's 50th anniversary20 April 2002 As Simonds Farsons Cisk prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kinnie, the four people who worked together to produce the initial formula and establish the brand, back in 1952, have been presented with a special anniversary pack. The presentation was made by Simonds Farsons Cisk managing director Louis Farrugia. The four pioneers of Kinnie were the then marketing manager Anthony Miceli-Farrugia, production manager Luke Miceli, chief analyst John Demicoli and foreman Guido Camilleri. The celebration pack was produced for the occasion as a collector's item. It consists of a Kinnie bottle and a glass both emblazoned with the distinctive anniversary logo, Kinnie will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of activities to be held at the site of the former Royal Opera House in Valletta between May 9 and 11. The celebrations will centre around three main activities: a fashion show through the ages; a theatrical and musical event featuring YADA, Aleateia and Voices; and a Maltese music show featuring a number of bands. A nominal entrance fee of 25c will be charged for each evening's activities, with all proceeds going towards the Children's Homes and Church Homes for the Elderly.
